Ocala Stud’s Roadster moved into a tie for second among nationally ranked first crop stallions Sunday when Rosie’s Roadster gave the son of Quality Road his tenth winner from 21 runners with a wire-to-wire victory at Gulfstream Park Sunday. Life is Good, who stood in Kentucky for $60,000 in 2026, also has 10 winners according to statistics published by Bloodhorse.com. Roadster commanded a $7,500 stud fee in 2026.

Trained and owned by Gary G. Jackson in partnership with William Law Jr., Rosie’s Roadster was a neck winner of a five-furlong maiden special weight for 2-year-old Florida-bred fillies. In addition to earning the $39,000 winner’s share of the $65,000 purse, Rosie’s Roadster earned a $25,000 Florida Sire Racing Incentive bonus from the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association.

Capped at $1 million, the FSRI program pays $20,000 to the owner and $5,000 to the breeder of eligible, Florida-sired, Florida-bred 2-year-old winners of maiden special weight, allowance, allowance optional claiming and stakes winners at Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay Downs in 2026.

Ridden by Miguel Vasquez, Rosie’s Roaders put a two-and-a-half-length margin on R Island Jewel in second after a controlled quarter mile in :22.78. R Island Jewel got near even with Rosie’s Roadster coming out of the turn then Rosie’s Roadster shook free to lead by three lengths in mid-stretch. R Island Jewel ran at Rosie’s Roadster again fell short to finish second in a final time of :59.73 on the fast track. St Margaret’s Bay was nearly 17 lengths back in third followed by Slew Lady and Nashville Dagger. Arkstorm and Yes I’m Gorgeous were scratched.

Rosie’s Roadster paid $3.60 as the 4-5 favorite.

It was the second start for Rosie’s Roadster, who was second to Florida-bred Mon Coquette in a five-furlong maiden special weight for Florida-bred fillies at Gulfstream on July 18. Mon Coquette would be second to Florida-bred Liberty Rings next out in the $100,000 Scandalous Act at Gulfstream on August 8.

Jackson purchased Rosie’s Roadster for $25,000 out of the Cardoza’s Brothers consignment at this year’s Ocala Breeders’ Sales Spring Sale. She has thus far earned $53,300 in two starts.

Bred in Florida by Amanda Thompson Gonzalez and Antonio Reverol, Rosie’s Roadster is out of the winning Florida-bred Exchange Rate mare Rosie Red. Rosie Red has nine starters, all winners, from 10 foals including an unnamed yearling colt by Greatest Honour that was bred in Florida by Sean Paul and Rhiana Ryan.

Rosie Red is a half-sister to Florida-bred Hey Byrn winner of the 2008 Holy Bull (Grade 3) and stakes-placed runners Conquest Bandido and Gervasio.
