Florida Breeder Awards

2026 Breeder Awards: 15% of gross purse (less FOA’s), paid to the breeders of win, place and show earners in Florida races:
Win – 10% of gross purse, up to $10,000 per race
Place – 3% of gross purse, up to $3,000 per race
Show – 2% of gross purse, up to $2,000 per race
 
ALL-NEW 2026 Export Incentives:
For calendar year 2026, FTBOA Florida-bred Export Incentives offers up to $1 million to reward the listed breeders of registered Florida-breds that win in selected conditions at out-of-state racetracks.
  • Grade 1 – $7,500
  • Grade 2 or 3 – $5,000
  • Non-graded Stakes – 15% of earnings (up to $4,000)
  • Maiden Special Weight and Allowance – 15% of earnings (up to $3,000)

Paid to breeder of record of FTBOA registered Florida-breds for North American wins (excl. Puerto Rico).

 
FTBOA pays $5,000 to the Breeder of FSS-eligible 2-year-old winners in Maiden Special Weight, Allowance, Allowance Optional Claiming and Stakes at Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay Downs in 2026.

Florida Racing Incentives

The state of Florida has allocated $7.5 million for Florida-bred purses at Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay Downs (see condition books for “TBD/HBPA/FL Fund” at Tampa Bay Downs or “FBIF” at Gulfstream Park).

Almost $6 million in Florida Owner Awards (FOA) added purse in most open overnight races at Tampa Bay Downs and Gulfstream Park.

Gulfstream Park restricted overnight purses annually total about $5.5 million.

FTBOA pays $20,000 to the Owner of FSS-eligible 2-year-old winners in Maiden Special Weight, Allowance, Allowance Optional Claiming and Stakes at Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay Downs in 2026.

Florida Stallion Awards

FTBOA pays Stallion Awards to the owner of Thoroughbred stallions appropriately registered with the FTBOA and siring FTBOA-registered Florida-breds that finish first in a listed black-type stakes race at a Florida track.

2026 Stallion Awards: 15% of gross purse (less FOA’s), up to $15,000 per race.
