BY FTBOA PRESIDENT VALERIE DAILEY
Last evening’s FTBOA Annual Gala was a powerful reminder of who we are as an industry—and where we’re headed.
There was an undeniable energy in the room. From the stories shared to the connections made, the evening reflected the strength, resilience and pride of Florida’s Thoroughbred community. It was more than a celebration—it was a reflection of the people and passion that continue to drive this industry forward.
Events of this caliber don’t happen by chance. They are the result of countless moving parts and a team that works tirelessly behind the scenes. I want to extend my sincere thanks to our staff for the phenomenal job they did. The atmosphere, the message and the execution were truly top-tier—and the way it all came together so seamlessly did not go unnoticed.
Most importantly, the Gala served as a reminder of our collective momentum. As we continue to navigate a pivotal time for our industry, it is the strength of this community—our breeders, owners, trainers and partners—that positions us to move forward with purpose and unity.
We are, in many ways, rounding the first turn—grounded in tradition, but focused on what lies ahead. And if last night was any indication, the future of Florida Thoroughbreds is one we can approach with confidence.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of this team and this journey.
