A talented field of six Florida-bred juvenile fillies will contest Saturday’s $65,000 Juvenile Fillies Sprint Stakes going six and one-half furlongs at Gulfstream Park. The race offers an additional $20,000 from the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association for Florida Sire Stakes eligible runners.

Wiggle An’ Wine, a daughter of Florida stallion Awesome Slew out of the Proud Accolade mare My Rolex, brings both Florida Sire Stakes credentials and the most accomplished resume into the race with earnings of $85,850. Bred by Tracy Pinchin and campaigning for owners Jose Pinchin and Christian Maingot, she broke her maiden at Gulfstream in June going five furlongs by a widening three-and-a-half lengths. She followed up with a strong second in the Sharp Susan Stakes at six furlongs, then finished second again in the $100,000 FSS Desert Vixen, and was most recently unplaced in the $200,000 FSS Susan’s Girl at seven furlongs. Trainer Jose Pinchin gives the call to Drayden Van Dyke.

Bella Cleopatra, by Vekoma out of the Bellamy Road mare Bella Alicita, makes her Gulfstream debut for Black Type Thoroughbreds, Swinbank Stables, LLC, Steve Adkisson and Campeche Stables with new trainer George Weaver. Bred by Loren Nichols, the $15,000 Keeneland September purchase won her only start at Colonial Downs in July, dominating a maiden special weight by six-and-one-half lengths, “geared down”, before being given time off. She makes her first start in over four months with Paco Lopez named to ride.

Mrs Worldwide, a daughter of Global Campaign from the Scat Daddy mare Scatmeifucan, enters off a solid third in the Presque Isle Debutante Stakes for trainer Brian Lynch. Bred by Rebecca Ming and owned by Flying Dutchmen Breeding and Racing LLC, she was purchased by Boardshorts Stables for $100,000 from Dynasty Stables’ consignment at the Ocala Breeders’ Sale in March 2024. She broke her maiden at Ellis Park in July by an easy two-and-three-quarter lengths, then was unplaced in the Ellis Park Debutante before her Presque Isle effort, showing versatility by hitting the board on fast dirt, wet tracks, and synthetic surfaces. Edgard Zayas will ride.

La Gioconda, by first-crop sire Caracaro out of the Political Force mare French Politics, was bred and is owned by GDS Racing Stable Inc. The grey filly enters off an impressive maiden victory over a sloppy Gulfstream strip last month, leading throughout to win by seven lengths going six and one-half furlongs under Edwin Gonzalez, who retains the mount for trainer Gustavo Delgado.

Volatiled, by Volatile out of the Smoke Glacken mare Sonja’s Angel, races for owner/breeder John B. Penn. She graduated last time out at Gulfstream on October 27 for trainer Fernando Abreu after finishing sixth in her debut. Racing six furlongs, she bumped at the start but recovered to win by two lengths at odds of 18-1 under Marcos Vasquez, who rides again.

Valiant Kiss, by Florida stallion Valiant Minister and out of the Orientate mare Lipstick Traces, rounds out the field. Bred by Nancy Brown and owned by Edwin Mundo Rios, the $15,000 OBS October purchase won her debut in May going four and one-half furlongs but has struggled against stakes company in recent starts, including unplaced efforts in the Sharp Susan Stakes and Hallandale Beach Stakes. She most recently tried two turns in allowance optional claiming on Oct 5 and Nov 3 without success. Jose Morelos rides for trainer Javier Gonzalez as she cuts back to sprinting.
