A Florida-bred filly by Triple Crown-winner Justify sold for $375,000 to Leonard Green’s DJ Stable Monday during the first session of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale of Selected Yearlings. The bay filly was one of 77 yearlings and the only Florida-bred to pass before the auctioneers Monday. The prestigious two-day auction continues Tuesday night.

Consigned as Hip 61 by Eaton Sales as agent, the filly is the second foal out Celestial, by Quality Road. Celestial is a half-sister to Florida-bred Caledonia Road, the 2017 Eclipse Award champion 2-year-old filly and winner of the $2 million 14 Hands Winery Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Filly (Grade 1); multiple graded stakes-winning Florida-bred Officiating, stakes winning Florida-bred One of a Kind and graded stakes-producing Florida-bred Lady Esme.

The filly has an unraced 2-year-old full sister, both bred in Florida by Peter Vegso’s Vegso Racing Stables Inc.
