Florida-bred Don’t Tell Tammo will take on stakes company for the first time Saturday at Santa Anita in the $100,000 Blue Norther for nine 2-year-old fillies scheduled for one mile on the turf.

A winner of two of three career starts, Don’t Tell Tammo also makes her turf debut after winning two of three races while sprinting on dirt.

Don’t Tell Tammo was impressive on debut with a tenacious win going going five-and-a-half furlongs in August at Del Mar.

She most recently won against $50,000 starter allowance, optional claiming fillies going six-and-a-half furlongs on the main track at Del Mar on Nov. 29.

In her only other start, the daughter of Bucchero was third in a $50,000 starter allowance, optional claiming won by Musical Number at Santa Anita on Oct. 19.

Trained by Paul Aguirre, Don’t Tell Tammo has earned $48,700 for owner for Christopher St. Hilaire. Out of Sister Aurora out of Majestic City, she was bred in Florida by Ricardo Romo.

Richardson Bloodstock consigned her to the Ocala Breeders’ Sales June Sale earlier this year, but Don’t Tell Tammo did not meet her reserve.

Aquirre has named Tiago Pereira to ride from post three and they are 20-1 on the morning line.

Favored at 5-2 in the program is Will Then, winner of the Grade 3 Jimmy Durante in her last start on Nov. 30 going a mile on the grass at Del Mar. In the Jimmy Durante, she defeated Blue Norther rivals Casalu, Resolve, Sea Runner, Schilflied and Tigerish. Casalu, Resolve and Sea Runner completed the Jimmy Durante superfecta while Schilflied and Tigerish finished eighth and ninth.

Will Then has won two of three career starts after breaking her maiden in her second start going a mile on the turf at Woodbine on Oct. 26. She did not fair well in her debut, finishing tenth in a maiden special weight going a mile at Kentucky Downs in August.

Trained by Jonathan Thomas for breeder George Strawbridge, who races in the name of Augustin Stables, Will Then has earned $92,571 from three races. She is by War of Will out of Remember Then, by Pulpit and will be ridden from post 12 by Vincent Cheminaud.

Supa Speed is the second choice on the morning line at 3-1 and is the horse to watch after a difficult trip that produced an out of the money finish in the $204,000 Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance at Del Mar on Nov. 1.

A winner of her first career start sprinting five furlongs on the Del Mar turf on Aug. 1, the daughter of Justify was then second to Thought Process in the $103,000 Juvenile Fillies Turf going a mile at Del Mar on Sept. 7.

Supa Speed is owned by Flying Dutchmen Breeding and Racing LLC and has earned $65,500.
