ITHACA, NY—Drugs are commonly used in horses for infection, pain, endocrine disorders, and a variety of other conditions. But what about behavioral disorders? In this webinar, Dr. Kate Anderson will delve into considerations for behavioral medications in horses with stereotypies, anxiety, aggression, sleep deprivation, and other conditions. She will discuss when medications might be appropriate, which drugs to consider (and which ones to avoid), and how they work.

Dr. Anderson is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Cornell Duffield Institute for Animal Behavior. She received her D.V.M. from Cornell in 2008 and board certification in behavior in 2023. She has more than ten years of general clinical experience working with both large and small animals, in particular dogs, cats, ruminants, and horses.
