Mag Racing’s G W’s Girl, the champion Florida-bred 3-year-old filly of 2025, makes her third start of 2026 Saturday at Colonial Downs in the $150,000 Andy Guest for fillies and mares sprinting five-and-a-half furlongs on the inner turf. Jareth Loveberry will ride G W’s Girl from post two in the field of seven.
Trained by Greg Compton, G W’s Girl made her first two appearances of the year at Delaware Park, starting with a fourth in the $100,000 Rehoboth, a six-furlong event won by Love You More. Next, as the 9-5 favorite, she led through the first half mile of a six-furlong ratings handicap on June 17, dueled with eventual winner Onyx Ten, before finishing third to that rival while conceding five pounds.
Among her wins last year was a length victory ahead of eventual champion female sprinter Shisospicy in the $150,000 Mockingbird and a nearly three-length triumph in the $150,000 Dixie Belle, both at Oaklawn Park.
G W’s Girl has won three with a second and two thirds while earning $260,675. She was a $130,000 purchase by Compton as agent for Mag Racing at the 2024 Ocala Breeders’ Sales March Sale where she was consigned by Triple J Equine Sales. G W’s Girl is by Munnings out of Essence of Audre, Exchange Rate and was bred in Florida by Larry Alan Wynn.
Wynn stands to earn a $4,000 Export Incentive from the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association should G W’s Girl win Saturday.
G W’s Girl is listed at 15-1 on the morning line.
Roja tries for her fourth straight victory, and third this year, in the Andy Guest for trainer Graham Motion and owner Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners.
She won the $131,000 Blue Sparkler going five-and-a-half furlongs on the Monmouth Park turf in July of last year then was away for nine months. She returned to take a second condition, $80,000 optional claiming at Churchill Downs on April 29 and the Grade 2 Intercontinental at Saratoga on June 4.
Roja is by Karakontie (Jpn) and is the even-money morning line favorite. She will be ridden from the inside post by Manny Franco.
Rounding out the field are Lucy McGee and jockey Samuel Marin, Paco Lopez has the call on She’s a Tempest, Obstreperous will have Tyler Gaffalione in the irons, Jevian Toledo has the call on Somnium and Saturday Flirt will have John Velazquez aboard.
