Four Florida-breds are among eight 2-year-old fillies set for a $70,000 maiden special weight going four-and-a-half furlongs at Gulfstream Park Friday. In addition to the $70,000 purse, a $25,000 Florida Sire Racing Incentive bonus is available to Florida-breds Clare’s Shine, Roadsterella and Roccarosso Rocket. Florida-bred Saiyaara is eligible for the $25,000 FSRI bonus if a $15,000 Last Chance payment if made to the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association before she starts.

The FSRI bonus is paid directly by the FTBOA with $20,000 going to the owner of the winner and $5,000 to the breeder. Capped at $1 million, the FSRI program will pay the bonus to the connections of all eligible Florida-sired, Florida-bred 2-year-olds who win maiden special weight, allowance, allowance optional claiming and stakes at Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay Downs in 2026.

There have been five races for juveniles at Gulfstream Park this year and the winners off all five have collected FSRI bonus money for their owners and breeders.

Two of the five juvenile winners at Gulfstream Park this year, Ford Roadster on April 19 and It’s Smoking on May 22, are by Ocala Stud’s freshman sire Roadster who is represented by Roadsterella Friday.

A homebred filly for John C. Minchello of Lynn, Massachusetts, Roadsterella is trained by Javier Gonzalez. She is the fifth foal out of the winning Ecton Park mare Cindyrella, who has two winners from three starters.

Roadsterella last worked at Palm Meadows Training Center in Boynton Beach, Florida on May 22, breezing four furlongs in :49.60, the tenth fastest of 18 works at the distance that morning.

Leonel Reyes will ride the bay filly from post four.

Clare’s Shines is trained by Donaldo Gonzalez for Juvenal Diaz and was a $20,000 purchase by Omega Farm as an agent at the recent Ocala Breeders’ Sales Spring Sale where she was consigned by breeder Ocala Stud.

Clare’s Shines ships in from Oxford Training Center in Oxford, Florida where she last breezed three furlongs in :39 flat on May 22.

Clare’s Shines is by Ocala Stud’s freshman sire Colonel Liam out of the stakes-placed mare Clare’s Dowery, by Jump Start.

Roccarosso Rocket is a homebred for James A. Chicklo and is trained by Kathleen O’Connell. By Ocala Stud’s perennial leading Florida sire Khozan out of stakes-wining Florida-bred mare Spanish Concert, by Concerto, Roccarosso Rocket is a half-sister to stakes-winning Florida-bred Gerrard’s Cross, multiple stakes-placed Florida-bred Dream Concert and two other winners from four starters and six foals out of Spanish Concert. Spanish Concert has a Florida-bred yearling colt by Connect and a Florida-bred weanling colt by Mendelssohn.

Saiyaara has a bullet work to her credit, earned May 1 at Lynwood Stable in Ocala, Florida when she breezed three furlongs in :37.20, quickest of seven works at the distance.

Trained by Carlos Munoz for Angel Maestre, Saiyaara most recently worked four furlongs from the gate in in :54.40 at Lynnwood Stable on May 9, the sixth fastest of 10 moves at the distance.

Saiyaara is by Mutasaabeq out of the winning Florida-bred mare Mami Nena, by High Yield and was bred in Florida by Pedro Maestre. Saiyaara is a half-sister to Florida-bred stakes-winner Driven by History and four other winners. Mami Nena has six starters from eight foals.

Saiyaara has the inside post and jockey Manny Jimenez.

Other 2-year-old fillies in the race are Prime Aurora with Samy Camacho in the saddle, Lamdara has jockey Jose Morelos, Melody Queen will be guided by Edgar Perez and apprentice rider Yolber Torres gets the call on Straight to Jail.
