Florida-bred Frosty O Toole will add Thistledown to her long list of racetracks as trainer Mike Dini has her entered in the $250,000 Lady Jacqueline Saturday. The 4-year-old Frosty O Toole will be racing at the sixth different racetrack in seven starts and eighth track of her career when she goes to the post against nine other fillies and mares, 3-years-old and older at a mile-and-an-eighth.  

Owned by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, Frosty O Toole started the year with a four-and-a-half-length victory against second condition, $32,000 optional claiming fillies going a mile-and-a-sixteenth over a good main track at Tampa Bay Downs on Jan. 7. She was then second to Charming Way in the $100,000 Nellie Morse at Laurel Park on Feb. 17 and second to Blue Light Special in a second condition, $62,500 optional claiming at the same distance at Oaklawn Park on April 4. She comes into the Lady Jacqueline off of a fourth-place finish behind multiple graded stakes-winner Kathleen O in the $98,000 Serena’s Song over a sloppy mile-and-70-yards at Monmouth Park on May 12.

Frosty O Toole is by Frosted out of O’ Toole, by Distorted Humor and has won three of 14 lifetime starts with two seconds and a third.

A $35,000 purchase by Joseph Barbazon as a yearling out of the Stuart Morris consignment at the 2021 Ocala Breeders’ Sales October Yearling Sale, Frosty O Toole has earned $162,375. She was bred in Florida by Joseph and Helen Barbarzon and Godolphin.

Rocco Bowen has the mount on Frosty O Toole. They are 5-1 on the morning line and have post four.

Stoneway Farm’s Musical Mischief looks to break a string of two consecutive second-place finishes in the Lady Jacqueline.

After starting the year with a fourth-place finish behind winner Desert Dawn in the Grade 3 La Canada racing a mile-and-a-sixteenth at Santa Anita on Jan. 20, the Michael McCarthy-trained daughter of Into Mischief was second to Magical Lute in a second condition, $80,000 optional claiming at the same distance at Keeneland on April 13. 

Most recently, Musical Mischief was second to Shotgun Hottie in the $100,000 Allaire DuPont going nine furlongs at Pimlico on May 17.

Musical Mischief has won two with two seconds and a third while earning $180,084 in nine lifetime starts.

She is the 5-2 morning line favorite and Edgar Morales will ride from post five.

Misty Veil, winner of the $150,000 Pippin going eight-and-a-half furlongs on a sloppy track at Oaklawn on Jan 25, is another strong contender.

Trained by Michael Maker for Resolute Racing, the 6-year-old mare will be facing easier company Saturday after finishing eighth in the Grade 1 Apple Blossom won by juggernaut Adare Manor in her last race on April 12 at Oaklawn.

Misty Veil is by Tonalist and has won seven 37 career starts with 12 seconds and five thirds while banking a field high $744,843.

She is 3-1 in the program and Ramon Vazquez will be aboard when she break from post six.

Rounding out the field are Batucfada, who will be ridden by Luis Saez; Magic Palace with jockey Fernando Salazar Becerra, Dot Marie will have Yan Aviles aboard, Brian Hernandez Jr rides Corningstone, Key to Success has Luis Gonzalez taking the call, Gaddiel Martinez will ride Yankee Dollar and Jose Bracho will be aboard Red Hot Lass.
