HISA has posted an informational video that explains the difference between the green and red shields located next to a horse’s name on the portal.

A shield that is all green indicates the horse is clear to breeze and race.

A red shield means the horse cannot breeze or race.

A shield that is green on top and red on the bottom indicates that a horse can breeze, but cannot race.
