The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program, created to encourage the retraining of Thoroughbreds into other disciplines upon the completion of their careers in racing or breeding, today announced that it will once again recognize the top Thoroughbreds at the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5*-L and CCI4*-S with prize money, prizes and ribbons, including the following:
• $1,500 to the top Thoroughbred in the CCI5*-L
• $500 to the reserve high point Thoroughbred CCI5*-L
• $750 to the top Thoroughbred in the CCI4*-S
• $250 to the reserve high point Thoroughbred in the CCI4*-S
At this time, 10 Thoroughbreds will be competing over the weekend, with seven competing under their registered names:
Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5*-L
• Humble Glory, ridden by Sophia Hill (Registered as Camon Houdini (AUS))
• Sorocaima, ridden by Buck Davidson Jr.
• Malibu Preacher, ridden by Alexander Conrad
• Artist, ridden by Monica Spencer (Unnamed 2011 out of Maxamore (NZ))
Cosequin Lexington CCI4*-S
• Venezuelan River, ridden by Tracey Bienemann
• Beautiful Storm, ridden by Jan M. Byyny
• Sea of Clouds, ridden by Olivia Dutton
• Little Hail, ridden by Ali Kuhn
• Creative Genius, ridden by Alexander O’Neal
