Nine Florida-breds garnered six figure prices Tuesday at the Fasig-Tipton July Select Yearling Sale held in Lexington, Ky. Overall, 13 Florida-breds generated gross sales of $1,615,000 for an average of $124,230 compared to the sale average of $99,150 generated from the 206 total yearlings that produced gross sales of $20,425,000.

Tops among Florida-breds was Hip 312, a colt by Not This Time who was purchased by Pin Oak Stud for $300,000. Consigned by Denali Stud, agent for breeder Bridlewood Farm, the chestnut colt is out of Bridlewood’s Florida, homebred mare Embur’s Zip, by City Zip, a daughter of multiple graded stakes-winner Embur’s Song. The colt was the fifth-highest seller during Tuesday’s session.

Alex and JoAnn Lieblong went to $200,000 to acquire Hip 66, With Kindness, a Florida-bred filly from the first crop by Spun to Run. Consigned by Francis and Barbara Vanlangendonck’s Summerfield, agent, With Kindness is out of the stakes-placed mare Aggregator, by Graydar and was bred by Elizabeth LaPierre and Jennifer Given.

Also bringing a final bid of $200,000 was Hip 217, who will be going to new owner Ruby Racing. The Florida-bred filly is by Malibu Moon out of Tale of Success, by Tale of the Cat, a half-sister to Florida-bred multimillion and multiple graded stakes-winner C Z Rocket and stakes-placed Great Success. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, the filly was bred in the Sunshine State by Farm III Enterprises.

Hip 33, a chestnut colt from the first crop by Vekoma out of the Florida-bred mare Scion Power, by Wildcat Heir who sold for $175,000 to Wavers Bloodstock out of the Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent consignment. Scion Power is a half-sister to Grade 3 Bed o’ Rose Handicap-winner Derwin’s Star and graded stakes-producer Unwrapped and Ready to Race. The colt was bred in Florida by Angela M. Ingenito.

Ocala Stud’s first crop sire Win Win Win was represented by Hip 368, who sold for $150,000 to Exline-Border & Scott Mawaka. Consigned by Airdrie Stud Raised & Offered, the dark bay or brown colt is out of Lovemelikeyoudo, by Harlan’s Holiday, a daughter of Grade 3-placed, stakes-winner Pious Ashley from the family of Grade 2-winner Hello Liberty and multiple graded stakes-producer Church of the Sea. The colt was bred by Brereton C. Jones and is eligible for the FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes.

Hip 42 was purchased by Kenneth McPeek, agent for $110,000 out of the ELiTE, agent consignment. The bay filly is by first crop sire Global Campaign out of Southern Spin, by Sharp Humor and she is a half-sister to stakes-placed Lahinch and she was bred in Florida by by Courtney L. Meagher.

Hip 91 dropped the gavel at $105,000 on a final bid by GS Inversiones Hipicas LLC. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, the Florida-bred colt is by first crop sire Instagrand out of Eenie Meenie Miney, by Uncle Mo. Eenie Meenie Miney is a half-sister to French Group 2-winner Tableaux, Grade 3-winners Giant Gizmo and Eons, stakes-placed Slick Pardoned Me and stakes-producer Kuhlu. The colt was bred by Angela Ingenito.

McPeek also went to $100,000 to acquire Hip 137, a Florida-bred filly by Girvin out of the Istan mare One More Minute, a full sister to stake-winner Chief Istan. One More Minute is also a half-sister to stakes-placed Hay Field. The filly was consigned by Airdrie Stud Raised & Offered and was bred by Brereton C. Jones and is eligible for the FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes.

Also selling for $100,000 to horseOlogy was Hip 337, a Florida-bred colt from the first crop by McKinzie out of Greek Sister, by Tapit. Greek Sister is a full sister to Grade 3-winner New York Central and a half-sister to Grade 2-winner Corfu, stakes-placed Runway Ready and stakes-producer Chilly Fashion. The gray or roan colt was bred by Westbury Stables LLC.

Another Florida-based stallion represented Tuesday was Long On Value, who stands at Pleasant Acres Stallions and sired Hip 345. Maddie Mattmiller, agent went to $53,000 to purchase the filly out of the Street Cry (Ire) mare High Cry, a half-sister to the stakes-winning and stakes-producing mare Beebe Lake and stakes-placed, stakes-producer Elusive Rumour. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, the filly was bred in Florida by Sabana Farm LLC.

Alex and JoAnn Lieblong purchased the top priced yearling on the day, Hip 174 for $475,000. The bay filly is from the first crop by Authentic out of Scent of Summer, by Rock Hard Ten, a half-sister to multiple Grade 1-winner Paradise Woods, stakes-winner Forest Chatter and stakes-placed Broken Bridle. The filly was consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for Spendthrift Farm LLC.
