Morici Racing Stable LLC’s Ms. Bucchero, who has finished first or second in eight of 11 career starts, all at six furlongs, takes her dependable record to Monmouth Park Friday for the $100,000 Regret where she will face seven other fillies and mares.

Ms. Bucchero makes her third start of the year in the six-furlong Regret after winning her last race against upper-level allowance fillies and mares by two lengths at Laurel Park on June 21. She was also second to Empress Deona in a third condition, $50,000 optional claiming at Parx on May 13.

Trained by Diane Morici, Ms. Bucchero has won two of her last three having finished her 2023 campaign with a nose victory in a Laurel Park allowance race over a track rated good on Dec. 17.

Despite the reliable record, Ms. Bucchero looks to improve in stakes as two of her three races out of the top two have come against black-type company. She was seventh in the $100,000 Dashing Beauty won by Alva Star at Delaware Park last year in July and sixth behind winner Apple Picker in the $100,000 Weather Vane at Pimlico in September.

Juan Batista will ride Ms. Bucchero from post six.

Ms. Bucchero is also entered to run Sunday in the $100,000 Alma North at Laurel.

Intrepid Daydream will likely be among the favorites as the 5-year-old mare makes her first start since finishing fourth in the Grade 2 Inside Information won by Olivia Darling at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 27.

This will be her third start for trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. after finishing second to Florida-bred Spirit Wind in the Grade 3 Sugar Swirl at Gulfstream on Dec. 23.

She won her previous four races, three of which came in stakes, culminating with a five-and-a-quarter-length triumph in the $75,000 Politely for Maryland-bred fillies and mares at Laurel on Nov. 24.

Intrepid Daydream is by Jess’s Dream out of Intrepid Tour, by Jump Start and she has won seven of 15 career races with four seconds and a third with earnings of $387,350.

Intrepid Daydream will be ridden by Paco Lopez from post three.
