A filly by first crop sire McKinzie, equalled a track record time of :20.20 for two furlongs Sunday on the final day of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales under tack programs previewing juveniles selling in next week’s OBS Spring Sale. Hips 1036-1208 worked Sunday over the Ocala Training Center’s artificial SafeTrack surface.

The four-day OBS Spring Sale will be conducted Tuesday through Friday with each session beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Consigned by Eddie Woods as agent and selling as Hip 1143, the bay filly is out of the Florida-bred mare D’Fashion, by D’Wildcat and is a half-sister to graded stakes-placed, stakes-winning Florida-bred Strategic Dreams. D’Fashion is also a half-sister to Grade 2-winner Express Tour, stakes-winner Kitty Cat Express and stakes-producer Express Angel. McKinzie’s Grade 1 wins included the Whitney, Pennsylvania Derby, Malibu and Los Alamitos Cash Call Futurity.

Hip 1187, a filly by Practical Joke – Judit Seipert

Hip 1187 produced the fastest furlong in :9.60 for consignor Top Line Sales LLC as agent. The Practical Joke filly is out of Emerald Gal, by Florida-bred stallion Gilded Time and is a half-sister multiple Grade 2-winner Sarah Sis. Emerald Gal is a half-sister to stakes-placed Markum and is from the family of Florida-bred OBS graduate Isitingood.

Seven 2-year-olds went an eighth mile in :9.80 including Hip 1176, a Florida colt by Liam’s Map out of the Florida-bred mare Ebony Moment, by Smart Strike. Ebony Moment is out of the multiple graded stakes-winning mare Ebony Breeze and the colt is consigned by Cary Frommer LLC as agent. He was bred in Florida by Barry Berkelhammer and Rigney Racing LLC.

Others who breezed an eighth mile in :9.80 were Hips 674, 1109, 1122, 1135, 1151 and 1183.

Hip 674, a bay colt by Omaha Beach consigned by Britton Peak as agent, is out of Sparkling Champagn, by Malibu Moon, from the family of Grade 1-winner Majestic Harbor.

Hip 1109, consigned by Pick View LLC as agent, is a gray or roan colt by Liam’s Map out of Cousin Newyork Fay, by Bluegrass Cat, a half-sister to graded stakes-placed, stakes-winner Mother Russia.

Hip 1122, also consigned by Pick View, is a bay filly by Uncle Mo out of champion Dana My Love, by City Zip, a daughter of stakes-winner Dixie Daylight.

Hip 1135, a bay colt by Honor A. P. consigned by Top Line Sales LLC as agent, is a half-brother to graded stakes-winning OBS graduate Accomplished Girl out of Dazzle, by Twirling Candy, a full sister to Grade 1-winner Exulted.

Hip 1151, a chestnut colt by Kantharos consigned by Grade One Investments LLC as agent, is out of Disguising, by Tapit, from the family of champion Rags to Riches.

Hip 1183, consigned by Harris Training Center LLC as agent, is a chestnut filly by Promises Fulfilled out of Eloweasel, by City Zip, from the family of Grade 1-winner Riskaverse.

Hips 1081 and 1117 produces the second fastest quarter-mile works in :20.60.

Hoppel LLC as agent consigned Hip 1081, a bay filly by first crop sire Tiz the Law, a multiple Grade 1-winner of the Belmont, Runhappy Travers, Curlin Florida Derby and Champagne. The filly is out of the graded stakes-placed Carson City mare City Sister and is a half-sister to Grade 2-winner and stakes-producer Dixie City; Grade 2-placed, stakes-winner Win the War; stakes-placed, graded stakes-producer Union City; stakes-placed Mo City and stakes-producers Saintly Sister and Reemeya.

Hip 1117 is consigned by Omar Ramirez Bloodstock and is a gray or roan colt by Tapwrit out of Dadlani, by Niagra Causeway. The colt is from the family of European champion St Nicholas Abbey (Ire) and Group 1 or Grade 1-winners Ballingarry (Ire), Starborough and Aristotle.
