MORRISTON, FL—Pleasant Acres Stallions announced the confirmation of mares in foal for all five of the Florida stallion station’s newest stallions in 2024: Doppelganger, Verifying, Simplification, Chess Chief and Bodexpress. Each stallion has multiple mares confirmed in foal.

“Since the breeding shed opened this season, we have had a very active stallion barn,” director of stallion services Christine Jones said. “We have recently received confirmation that all five of our exciting new stallions have mares in foal, so we are off to a great start.”

Pleasant Acres Stallions residents Verifying, Doppelganger, Simplification and Chess Chief are first year stallions while Bodexpress is new to Florida.

A $570,000 yearling, Doppelganger is by Into Mischief out of the stakes-winning and multiple graded stakes-placed Quiet American mare Twice the Lady. He stands for a fee of $10,000.

Verifying is by Justify out of Diva Delite, by Repent and is a half-brother to champion older dirt female Midnight Bisou. Verifying is one of only two stallions by Justify standing at stud in 2024. He stands for a fee of $10,000.

Florida-bred Simplification is one of only three sons of Not This Time standing at stud and the only one in Florida. The other two are Coolmore’s Epicenter, who stands for $40,000; and Lane’s End’s Up to the Mark, who stands for $25,000. Simplification is out of the stakes-placed Candy Ride (Arg) mare Simply Confection and stands for $6,500.

Chess Chief is by Into Mischief out of the Mineshaft mare Un Blessed, a daughter of Grade 1-winner Plenty of Grace, a half-sister to champion Soaring Softly. Chess Chief stands for a fee of $5,000.

Bodexpress is by Bodemeister, by Pied A Terre, by City Zip. His first crop of 2-year-olds hit the track in 2024. A winner of the 2020 Clark (G1), he relocated from California to Pleasant Acres Stallions for the 2024 season. Bodexpress stands for a fee of $5,000.
