The catalog for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2024 Winter Mixed Sale is now available via the OBS website at obssales.com. The two-day sale is set for Tuesday and Wednesday, January 23rd and 24th. Supplemental entries are being accepted until January 12th.
The sale begins on Tuesday, January 23rd at 12:00 noon with Hip No.’s 1 – 122 plus supplements cataloged in the Consignor Preferred Session. The Horses of Racing Session, cataloged as Hip No.’s 201 – 265 plus supplements, begins immediately following the conclusion of the Preferred Session. The Open Session, with Hip No.’s 401 – 643 plus supplements cataloged, is set for Wednesday, January 24th and will also begin at 12:00 noon.
The Under Tack Show for the Horses of Racing Age Section is set for Monday, January 22nd at 9:00 a.m. The Under Tack Show and Sale will be streamed live via the OBS website.
There are 248 yearlings cataloged by a diverse group of proven and promising sires. Army Mule, Audible, Blame, Bolt d’Oro, Candy Ride (Arg), City of Light, Classic Empire, Connect, Complexity, Dialed In, Flameaway, Frosted, Game Winner, Girvin, Global Campaign, Goldencents, Gunnevera, Khozan, Maximus Mischief, Mendelssohn, Midshipman, Mitole, More Than Ready, Not This Time, Omaha Beach, Practical Joke, Solomini, Spun to Run, St Patrick’s Day, Tiz the Law, Vekoma, Vino Rosso, Volatile and Win Win Win are represented.
First crop sires with yearlings include Beau Liam, By My Standards, Charlatan, Independence Hall, Known Agenda, Leinster, Lexitonian, Modernist, Raging Bull (Fr), Rock Your World, Silver State, Uncle Chuck, and Yaupon.
The sale also features mares in foal to an outstanding roster of up-and-coming sires including: Aloha West, Colonel Liam, Corniche, Drain the Clock, Early Voting, Fire At Will, Golden Pal, Greatest Honour, Gretzky the Great, Highly Motivated, Magic On Tap, Maxfield, Mutasaabeq, Roadster, Rock Your World, Uncle Chuck and Vekoma.
