The 2024 OBS June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age is set for tomorrow through Friday with all three sessions beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday will offer Hips 1-350, Hips 351-700 will pass through the auction ring on Thursday, with Hips 701-115 on Friday. Last Friday, Hip 589, a Florida-bred son of Solera Farm stallion Rogueish consigned by MRM Thoroughbreds, sped three-eighths in :32.80, the under tack show’s fastest work at the distance. The bay colt is out of Doll Face by Leroidesanimaux (Brz), a half-sister to stakes placed Awesome Anywhere.

Bred in Florida by Edward A. Seltzer and Beverly S. Seltzer, the colt is eligible for the lucrative FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes program.

The Florida Sire Stakes is highlighted by the $1.2 million stakes series for 2-year-olds to be run later this year at Gulfstream Park.

The series also offers stakes for older horses and eligible Florida Sire Stakes runners compete for purse bonuses in selected stakes and overnight races throughout the year at Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay Downs.

Three Florida-breds were among the eleven juveniles who produced one-furlong works in :9.80.

Hip 467, Alia’s Faith, is a dark bay or brown filly by Ocala Stud’s first crop sire Win Win Win consigned by Santa Fe Thoroughbreds as agent. Eligible for the Florida Sire Stakes, she is out of Biloxi Princess, by Animal Kingdom, from the family of Grade 1-winner Honey Ryder. She was bred in Florida by Emanuel Colon.

Hip 568 is a Florida-bred filly by OBS June graduate Bucchero consigned by Cruzin’ Thoroughbreds LLC as agent. She is a half-sister to stakes-placed OBS graduate Ek Haseena, out of Deed, by Exploit and is eligible for the Florida Sire Stakes. She was bred by Francis and Barbara Vanlangendonck.

Hip 657, a Florida-bred filly by The Big Beast consigned by Iran Faria Corporation LLC as agent, is out of Force of Passion by Limehouse, a half-sister to graded stakes-winner Pontchatrain. She was bred in Florida by Emcee Stables LLC.

Florida stallions represented in the OBS June Sale include Adios Charlie, Awesome Slew, Battalion Runner, Bodexpress, Brethren, Cajun Breeze, First Dude, Greatness, Gunnevera, Khozan, Neolithic, Rogueish, Seeking the Soul, Social Inclusion, St Patrick’s Day, Tuwnwoo, Valiant Minister and Win Win Win.
