OCALA, FL—Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company has catalogued currently 909 horses before supplements for its 2026 June Two-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age Sale, which will be held over three days June 16-18. The catalogue is now available online at obssales.com.
Sale sessions will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET. Hips 1 – 302 plus supplements will sell June 16 with Hips 351 – 652 plus supplements going on June 17. The June 18 session will offer Hips 701 – 1002 plus supplements along with Horses for Racing Age Hips 1051 – 1053 plus supplements. Supplements close on Friday, May 22. The supplements will be added to the day that their dam’s name would have landed if they were entered in the main catalogue.
The under-tack show will run from June 9-13 starting at 7:30 a.m. ET each day. The daily schedule for the under-tack show will be determined after supplemental entries are complete.
The under-tack show and sale will be streamed live via the OBS website.
Last year’s two-day June Sale saw Feminism, a chestnut filly by Curlin consigned by Caliente Thoroughbreds, establish a record price for the auction when she sold for $975,000 to owner Gus King. Feminism won first time out on April 2 at Oaklawn Park. The overall average and median from last year’s sale also established new June records.
Featured on the back cover of the catalogue is CSLR Racing Partners’ Crude Velocity (Beau Liam- Sweetnsour Kitty, by Lemon Drop Kid), winner of the $750,000 Pat Day Mile (G2) May 2 at Churchill Downs. Trained by Bob Baffert, Crude Velocity was purchased by Bill Childs for $250,000 at the 2025 OBS June Sale from the consignment of Omar Ramirez Bloodstock.
Joining Crude Velocity on the back cover are fellow June graduates Solitude Dude, Florida-bred Queen Maxima, Florida-bred El Potente, Florida-bred Roll On Big Joe, and Elysian Field.
Chris Fountoukis’ Solitude Dude (Yaupon-After the Party, by Into Mischief) has scored victories in the $175,000 Swale Stakes and Bay Shore Stakes. Trained by Saffie Joseph Jr., Solitude Dude was purchased by Fountoukis through Joseph for $300,000 at the 2025 OBS June Sale from the consignment of Julie Davies.
Dutch Girl Holdings LLC and Irving Ventures LLC’s Queen Maxima (Bucchero – Corfu Lady, by Corfu) earned her fifth stakes and third at the graded level when prevailing in the Grade 3, $100,000 Las Cienegas Stakes on Jan. 11. Trained by Jeff Mullins, she was purchased by Michael Pender, agent for $40,000 from the 2023 OBS June Sale from the Blue River Bloodstock consignment.
My Way Racing LLC’s El Potente (Temple City – Charmsil, by Silver Charm) won the Grade 3, $100,000 Thunder Road Stakes for the second year in a row on Feb. 7. Trained by Dan Blacker, El Potente was purchased by McMahon and Hill Bloodstock, agent for $35,000 out of the Nice and Easy Thoroughbreds consignment at the 2021 OBS June Sale.
Rancho Temescal LLC, Rancho Temescal Thoroughbred Partners, White Fence LLC and Richard Hale Jr.’s multiple graded stakes-winner Roll On Big Joe (Prospective – Nina’s Gift, by Victory Gallop) earned his fifth career stakes victory when he annexed the $150,000 King Cotton Stakes Feb. 8. Trained by Bob Hess Jr., Roll On Big Joe was purchased by owner Tim Cohen (Rancho Temescal) for $90,000 at the 2022 OBS June Sale from the Gayle Woods consignment.
Gary Barber and Team Valor International LLC’s Canadian champion Elysian Field (Hard Spun -Elysian, by Smart Strike) captured the $150,000 Seaway Stakes (G3) last August, her second career graded stakes win. Trained by Mark Casse, Elysian Field was a $70,000 purchase at the 2022 OBS June Sale by Bruce Brown, agent, out of the Ocala Stud consignment.
Other notable OBS June grads included two-time Breeders’ Cup winners Stormy Liberal and Goldencents, Grade 1 winners Adare Manor, War Like Goddess, and Yaupon as well as graded stakes winning Florida-bred Flood Zone.
