Florida horseman and longtime Williston area resident Tim Ahearn lost his five-year battle with cancer on March 14, 2023.
Mr. Ahearn, along with his wife and son, worked their 40-acre Rebah Farm in northwest Marion county for nearly four decades. He was the breeder of many talented racehorses including Florida-bred champion Scratch Pad.
He lived his passion for raising race horses with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol, son Tim Jr., sisters Patricia, Rita, Mary, Patty and brother Jack, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. He is irreplaceable and will be missed by all who knew him.
