Prospecting Time, a Florida-bred colt by Not This Time, garnered a final bid of $350,000 Wednesday during the third day of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Centennial Farms signed the sales ticket on Hip 447, a dark bay or brown colt out of the winning Mineshaft mare Ib Prospecting, a half-sister to stakes-winning, graded stakes-producer Frolic’s Revenge and stakes-producer Fashionable Frolic. Prospecting Time was bred in Florida by Wind Hill Farm.

One other Florida-bred sold Wednesday in Hip 495, a dark bay or brown filly by Twirling Candy. Purchased by de Meric Sales for $125,000, the filly is out of Magical Belle, by Unbridled’s Song, a full sister to Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic-winner Unrivaled Belle, the dam of Grade 1 Beholder Mile-winner Unique Bella and graded-stakes-producer Meseika. Magical Belle is also a half-sister to graded stakes-producers Lemon Belle, Midnight Belle and Xs Belle. The filly was bred in Florida by Peter Vegso’s Vegso Racing Stable.
