D and L Farms’ Mykajunqueen debuts Friday night at Prairie Meadows when she lines up in a $35,000 maiden special weight for 2-year-old fillies. The bay daughter of Stonehedge Farm South stallion Cajun Breeze is one of seven set for five-and-a-half furlongs in the night’s sixth race.

An out-of-state victory by Mykajunqueen at this level would produce a $3,000 Export Incentive check for breeder Marilyn Campbell in the name of her Stonehedge.

A $15,000 purchase by her owners out of the Tom McCrocklin consignment at this year’s Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale of 2-year-olds in training, Mykajunqueen is out of the unraced West Acre mare Run Macy Run and is a half-sister to multiple stakes-winning Florida-bred Gato Guapo and a full sister to stakes-placed Florida-bred Runaway Breeze. Run Macy Run is a half-sister to stakes winner Philly Bound.

Mykajunqueen last worked at Prairie Meadows on July 16, breeding four furlongs in :49 flat, the fourth fastest of 14 at the distance. 

Trainer Kelli Martinez will give the leg up on Mykajunqueen to Walter De La Cruz and they have post two and they are 10-1 on the morning line.

The 2-1 program favorite is Increase, who makes her second start for trainer Logan Ashford.

In her first start on June 12 at Lone Star Park, the bay daughter of Summer Front was second to winner Strikingly Dandi in a five-furlong maiden special weight, earning $6,580 for owner Clay Harris.

Increase has post five and will be ridden by Alfredo Triana Jr.

Rounding out the field are Fly Dilly Fly with Elvin Gonzalez taking the riding assignment, Specialcharlatan with Alex Birzer taking the reins, Orlando Mojica will guide Rockin Katelyn, Sharp Boom and jockey Alberto Pusac and Ronnie Huckaby rides Triple Point.
