Mrs Worldwide shook off the challenge of 3-5 favorite Bella Cleopatra and Volatiled with a quarter mile to run before drawing off in the stretch to win the $65,000 Juvenile Fillies Sprint at Gulfstream Park Saturday. In winning her first career stakes, Mrs Worldwide defeated four other 2-year-old fillies bred in Florida at six-and-a-half furlongs on the main track.

Mrs Worldwide and jockey Edgard Zayas shot out of post four to take a clear lead before she was joined on her inside by Wiggle An’ Wine at the five-eighths pole. Wiggle An’ Wine took a short lead after clicking off the first quarter mile in :23.03 before Mrs Worldwide reclaimed the front with three furlongs to run as Bella Cleopatra and Volatiled began to advance on the outside.

After a half mile in :47.15, Bella Cleopatra, Volatiled and Mrs Worldwide were three across the track and three lengths clear of a regressing Wiggle An’ Wine. Bella Cleopatra tried to challenge from between horses at the top of the stretch but Mrs Worldwide rebroke with a furlong to run and won by nearly two lengths in 1:18.95 on the fast track. Volatiled made a late run to get second, a length and three-quarters in front of Bella Cleopatra in third. Wiggle An’ Wine was fourth with Valiant Kiss fifth. La Gioconda was scratched.

Mrs Worldwide went off at 3-1 and paid $8.60 to win.

“Very professional. She left there running, she relaxed nicely and kicked in again when she needed it. Very, very proud of her today,” trainer Brian Lynch said.

Mrs Worldwide won a maiden special weight by nearly three lengths at Ellis Park in her second start in July then was eased in the $129,000 Ellis Park Debutante presented by Hudson Family after a poor start on Aug. 11. She rebounded to finish third in the $80,000 Presque Isle Downs Debutante won by Foxtastic going six-and-a-half furlongs on synthetic on Sept. 20 before returning to her native Florida for the Juvenile Fillies Sprint.

“She’d been training great and we’d given her plenty of time off her last race there,” Lynch said. “We were hoping she was going to duplicate her training in her effort here, so we couldn’t have been more happy with the way she ran.”

Mrs Worldwide has now earned $88,700 for owner Flying Dutchman Breeding and Racing LLC from two wins and two thirds in five starts. She is by Global Campaign out of Scatmeifucan, by Scat Daddy and was bred in Florida by Rebecca Ming.

Scatmeifucan is the dam three winners from three starters including Florida-bred stakes winner Stat. She has an unnamed yearling filly by Connect and was bred in 2024 to City of Light.

Mrs Worldwide was a $100,000 purchase by Boardshorts Stables earlier this year at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales March Sale where she was consigned by Dynasty Thoroughbreds.
