OCEANPORT, NJ—Due to forecasts calling for extreme heat Monmouth Park has canceled live racing for Friday, July 3, track officials announced.

There were two Florida-breds entered on the six-race program: Charlie’s Beauty in Race 3 and Charming Jennie in Race 5. 

The six races originally scheduled for Friday will be used as extras for Sunday.

The draw for Sunday’s card was Wednesday afternoon and entries were announced after press time for Wire to Wire.

Live racing at Monmouth Park is scheduled to resume Saturday, July 4.
