For the last 40 years, SBM Partners has built a reputation as a trusted partner in business, government and politics. Throughout those years, SBM Partners has been privileged to work with clients, including the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association, to advance important policies for the state of Florida, fund key priorities for industry within the state, and help clients pursue business growth opportunities.

In 2025, a new brand has been launched reflecting the growth of expertise and experience, while honoring the deep history and strength in reputation of original founders Gary Smith, Matt Bryan and Julie Myers. Bryan retired at the end of 2024.

SBM Partners also welcomed a merger with Steve Crisafulli, former Speaker of the Florida House, and his firm Crisafulli Consulting.

Parker Powell, former deputy director of legislative affairs to CFO Jimmy Patronis, has joined the team of government relations and political consultants, which includes David Daniel and Jonathan Rees. Parker previously interned with the firm.

“Together, we will continue to be the premier firm you rely on for government relations, political consulting and business development. But now, with more capabilities, greater expertise, and a capacity for growth,” Jeff Hartley, president and partner owner said.
