Donna Bell of Ocala has been named the winner of a brand-new John Deere Z320R ZTrak™, awarded through a special October promotion in partnership with the local Ag-Pro dealer, National Thoroughbred Racing Association and the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association. The December promotion was won by Jim Tilton which was a X350 lawn tractor.

“We’re thrilled that Donna and Jim each won a John Deere product perfect for a small horse farm,” NTRA Advantage program director Steve Driskill said.

“This promotion highlights the strong connection between thoroughbred racing and the agricultural community, and we’re proud to partner with John Deere and the FTBOA to bring this opportunity to fans and breeders alike.”

Ag-Pro representative Tyler Gouldbourn is pleased to connect the equipment with the winner noting that the Z320R ZTrak mower features a 42-inch Accel Deep™ deck, a powerful engine and ergonomic controls designed for homeowners who demand professional-grade results. The mower fits well for Florida’s lush landscapes and equestrian properties.

Bell was excited to find out she was the winner. After discussing with her husband, she decided after accepting the prize to donate it to the non-profit Stirrups ‘n Strides in Citra, Florida, a program dedicated to special needs students who learn to ride, engage in equine therapy programs, veteran’s programs, and the Special Olympics.

“We are so excited to receive the John Deere zero turn mower. It is going to be a huge asset to us on the farm with our mowing needs. We do plan to use it on the farm,” Stirrups ‘n Strides director Betty Gray said.

She added that Stirrups N Strides just bought 15 acres containing the Quail Roost covered arena—which will mean a lot of new land to maintain.

“We are so blessed to have such a wonderful community that supports Stirrups ‘n Strides. Without support from the community, we could not offer this life-changing program to so many people with disabilities. A huge thank you again to Donna for thinking of our program,” Gray said.

Tilton who just won has not announced his plans for his John Deere yet.
