Logan Wallace joined the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association for a summer internship in the membership and events department in June, where she will focus on marketing, promotions and writing projects while learning aspects of the Florida Thoroughbred industry.

An honors student, Wallace will complete her marketing degree from SCAD University of Creative Careers in Atlanta in 2027. An Ocala native, she is on the University Dean’s List.

Her background includes eight years of show jumping experience at the 4.1 to 4.4 feet level. She cares for and trained four personal show jumping horses and was HITS Ocala Winter adult and child mid-circuit champion among many other show jumping accolades. She apprenticed with both Grand Prix/FEI world cup qualifier Penelope Brennan and Grand Prix rider Debbie Conner of the film, A Sunday Horse.

She traveled worldwide participating in show jumping competitions in Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and Martinique.

She is the founder, owner and operator of Komorebimi.com where she designs jewelry and resells to the Japanese women’s youth market. She cleverly bypassed online selling platforms by creating her own website to cut down on service fees. She is a social media influencer with more than 14,500 followers on Instagram worldwide.

“I was given Logan’s resume indirectly and was hopeful she would consider an internship in the Thoroughbred industry. Her creative design skills, along with her perspective of our industry attuned to elite equine athletes is a strong asset for us during her tenure here. It has already been a few weeks, and she has contributed so much,” FTBOA Associate VP, Membership and Events Tammy A. Gantt said.

She has assisted with the recent release of the Training Centers of Florida guidebook, is providing research for the upcoming Florida Syndicate Guide, is writing features including a profile on an OTTB and the one-of-a-kind Triple Crown Museum in Ocala, among other projects.

Her goal upon graduation is to pursue a career related to business marketing internationally in the beauty industry.
