OCALA, FL—Florida Equine Communications has released its latest new publication, Thoroughbred Racing Syndicates in Florida, promoting racehorse ownership through syndicate models at various price points.
The guide focuses on racing syndicates in Florida for the newcomer with a primer on questions they should ask before joining a syndicate. The listings include syndicates that feature Florida-breds, horses campaigned in Florida, and horses purchased via the Ocala Breeders’ Sale and/or syndicates with a homebase in Florida. The goal of the publication is to provide insights helpful to new and potential owners as they make decisions on how to engage with the sport.
The publication was distributed to all Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association members and identified new owners. It will also be distributed via Florida’s racetracks and training centers, including Ocala Breeders’ Sales, and available at Thoroughbred educational seminars. A digital version is available online at FTBOA.com.
“We often get calls with questions regarding syndicates,” FEC Editor-in-Chief Brock Sheridan said. “People inquire as to how racehorse syndications work and where to find them. We decided a publication answering these questions would be valuable for the Florida Thoroughbred industry. This guidebook will also serve as a way for syndicates to promote their offerings to a larger audience.”
