A Florida-bred colt by Bridlewood Farm stallion Tunwoo was one of three juveniles to work a quarter mile in :20.80 Friday at Ocala Training Center during the fourth day of under tack works previewing next week’s Ocala Breeders’ Sales June Sale of 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age.

The final day of under tack works will be Saturday, June 14 starting at 7:30 a.m. Scheduled to breeze tomorrow are Hips 706 – 833 plus supplement Hips 834 – 873 and horses of racing age Hips 901 – 903.

The June Sale will run Tuesday and Wednesday next week with each session beginning at 10 a.m.

The Tunwoo colt is consigned by LF Horse Training and Sales and is Hip 697 in the catalog. He is out of the winning Distorted Humor mare Ribbing and is a half-brother to stakes-placed Always Angels. Ribbing is a half-sister to graded stakes-producer Querulous. The colt was bred in Florida by Baoma Corp. and is fully registered for the $1.2 million FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes series of races to be run later this month at Gulfstream Park. He was a $2,000 purchase by Luis Flores out of the Beth Bayer consignment at last year’s OBS October Yearling Sale.

 

Hip 538 also worked at quarter mile in :20.80. The chestnut colt is by Catalina Cruiser out of the winning Quality Road mare Madison Avenue and is consigned by Thorostock LLC. Madison Avenue is a half-sister to stakes-placed Everybodyluvsrudy and stakes-producer Marcellina d’Oro.

 

Hip 705 is a bay filly by Omaha Beach out of Romy, a winner by Hard Spun. Romy is a half-sister to Grade 2-winner Wells Bayou and the filly is consigned by Hoppel LLC as agent.

 

Hip 634 was the only juvenile to work an eighth mile in :9.60 work Friday and is one of only two to produce that time in the first four days of under tack shows. Consigned by Ciaran Dunne’s Wavertree Stables Inc., the bay colt is by Nyquist out of the Scat Daddy mare Paquita Coqueta (Chi), a Chilean champion female sprinter and Grade 2 winner in Chile.
