Live Oak Plantation’s Florida homebred Tapit Kissit Winit graduates to face winners in his second start in a first level, $75,000 optional claiming on the Woodbine turf Thursday. The Florida-bred colt is among six 2-year-olds entered to go one mile on the inner turf for a purse of CA$110,700.
Trained by Mark Casse, Tapit Kissit Winit should be among the favorites Thursday, after winning maiden special weight on the turf in his first career start at Woodbine on Sept. 8.
With Patrick Husbands aboard, Tapit Kissit Winit raced in fourth down the backstretch while two-and-a-half lengths behind the frontrunning pair of even-money favorite Crucial Taunt and Wagstaff. Crucial Taunt took a three-length lead on Wagstaff around the turn but could not hold off a fast-closing Tapit Kissit Winit in the stretch.
Tapit Kissit Winit won by a length-and-a-quarter after covering five furlongs in :57.43. He paid $5.30 to win.

Tapit Kissit Winit is by Tapit out of Let It Ride Mom, by Into Mischief.
Completing the field are Golden Test with jockey Leo Salles, So de Verano and rider Fraser Aebly, Ryan Munger will ride Coolcollected and Runner Eyes will have Sahin Civaci in the saddle.
