Florida-bred Rookie Card jumped over the finish line with jockey Dylan Davis aboard after winning a maiden special weight by five lengths during the Belmont at Big A meet at Aqueduct Saturday.
Rookie Card went wire-to-wire in taking his third start and has now earned $87,500.
Rookie Card is by Ocala Stud stallion Adios Charlie out of Glamalert, by Vindication and was bred in Florida by Ocala Stud & Centaur Farms Inc. The 2-year-old colt is trained by Danny Gargan for R. A. Hill Stable and Gatsas Stables.
He paid $3 to win as the 1-2 favorite in the field of seven going six furlongs.
