C2 Racing Stable, Ian Parsard, Shining Stables and Stefania Farms’ Neoequos hit the track at Churchill Downs at 7:15 a.m. again on Monday morning and had an easy gallop according to the Kentucky Derby notes team.
Trained by Saffie Joseph Jr., Neoequos will have jockey Flavien Prat aboard when he breaks from post two Saturday in the mile-and-one-quarter Run for the Roses.
Neoequos was bred in Florida by Helen and Joseph Barbazon and Matalona Thoroughbreds LLC and qualified for the Derby with third-place finishes in the $401,650 Coolmore Fountain of Youth (G2) on March 1 and in the $1.o2 million Curling Florida Derby presented by by Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms at Xalapa (G1) on March 29, both at Gulfstream Park.
