Florida-Bred National Entries/Results Site Unveiled

The Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association released on their website this week a one-of-a-kind entries and results tracking page for Florida-breds competing nationally.

The page follows all North American runners foaled in Florida with indicators for FTBOA registered, Florida Sire Stakes eligible and Ocala Breeders’ Sales graduates. Race condition details reside alongside date, location, surface, purse and morning line odds as they become available. Additional columns include the horses’ sire, breeder of record and ownership. All data columns are sortable and blue “i” icons enable drill-down pedigree, racing connections and race data.

Morning line odds are replaced with finishing position and found under the results tab once the official chart is published for a given race.

The site’s Search feature, setting it far ahead of other industry resources, enables bookmarkable personalization for users interested in following a specific Florida stallion, breeder, owner or racetrack. For example, sorting by sire from the dropdown menu filters all entries or results specific to that stallion and renders a bookmarkable weblink that will continuously update future entries and results for that stallion.

Bookmarks can similarly be created for individual breeders, owners and racetracks.

“The search-link function finely tunes content to any single user’s very specific interest. We anticipate that stallion managers, larger breeders or ownerships and advertisers will find the resulting weblinks especially useful,” FTBOA Associate Vice President Steve Koch said. “From the outset, we’ve sought a cleanest method to serve very targetted data. Blue Million, our web developer, once again has delivered a perfectly simple and best-in-class design.”

A built-in print feature enables scalable content in ready-to-print format for user convenience. The site updates in real-time as racetrack entries or race results are officially posted to industry databases. Results remain visible on a rolling seven-day timeframe.

The robust Entries/Results site released today complements last week’s launch of the refined Florida-Breds in Stakes subsection within FTBOA.com’s Wire to Wire news-site.

FTBOA’s all-new FTBOA.com website launched in August, 2023. Steady content enhancements have improved services for Florida breeders and racers. Site views have increased dramatically in 2024 to more than 15,000 per month and growing.

“When we initiated our new website the first goal was reliability through simplicity,” Koch said. “Since then we’ve added more robust features, honed our news service and now are turning the corner to truly unique value-added data services. We have further data-enhancements on the conveyor belt and we look forward to rolling out next-generation products for some time to come.”
