Resolute Bloodstock and Myracehorse put in the final bid of $750,000 to acquire a Florida-bred colt by Life is Good Monday night during the 105th Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale of selected yearlings. The two-night sale concludes Tuesday night with Hips 115 – 230 going before the auctioneer.

Consigned by Gainesway as agent and bred in Florida by John and Leslie Malone’s Bridlewood Farm, the dark bay or brown colt is the third foal out of the No Nay Never mare Mae Never No (Ire), winner of the $59,700 Colleen Stakes moved off the turf and run on a sloppy and sealed track at Monmouth Park in 2018. Mae Never No was also third in the $150,000 Tremont at Belmont Park, the $100,000 Speakeasy Stakes on the Santa Anita grass and in the $100,000 Smart Halo on dirt at Laurel Park in 2018; and in the following year’s $100,000 Mizdirection on the outer turf at Aqueduct. Her other two foals of racing age have not started and she was bred to Practical Joke in 2026.

“When we targeted our colt for this sale, I thought he had the top physical and enough pedigree which is what the Saratoga sale demands,” Bridlewood Farm General Manager George Isaacs said. “It was certainly a very pleasing result which exceeded a solid reserve.

The colt’s second dam is Grade 1-placed, graded stakes-producer Sweet Shirley Mae, by Broken Vow, a half-sister to Grade 3-placed I Remember Mama and Chaotic Cat, dam of Grade 3-winner Chaos Theory.
