Joey Muscles Entered As Main Track Only

Florida-bred filly Good Long Cry travels to Saratoga Race Course to take on colts in Thursday’s Grade 3 With Anticipation scheduled for a mile-and-a-sixteenth on the inner turf course. Trained by George Weaver, Good Long Cry is the lone female in the field of 11 that includes Florida-bred Joey Muscles and one other entered under main track only conditions.
The $175,000 With Anticipation will be the second foray against stakes horses for Good Long Cry, who was fifth in the $106,000 Royal Palm Juvenile Fillies won by Bullet going five furlongs on the Gulfstream Park turf in her first career start in May.
In two starts since, both against maiden special weight fillies on the turf, Good Long Cry was second to Warming during the Belmont at Big A meet in June and second to Reining Flowers going a mile-and-a-sixteenth on the inner turf at Saratoga on July 28.
Good Long Cry is by Long On Value out of High Cry, by Street Cry (Ire) and was bred in Florida by Sabana Farm LLC. She has earned $42,900 in her three races for owners Black Type Thoroughbreds, Swinbank Stables LLC, Steve Adkisson and Scott C. Rice.
She is 15-1 on the morning line and Eric Cancel will ride from post four.
Godolphin homebred Cavallo Bay (GB) is the morning line favorite among those in the body of the race as he travels to upstate New York from Europe for trainer Charles Appleby.
The bay colt was fifth in the Novice Stakes going seven furlongs on synthetic at Kempton on May 29 then won the Novice Stakes going seven-and-a-quarter furlongs on the all-weather course at Wolverhampton in his next start on June 20. Cavallo Bay exits a length-and-a-half victory in the Ebf Novice Stakes going seven furlongs on the grass at Haydock in on July 4.
Cavallo Bay is by Pinatubo (Ire) out of La Pelosa (Ire), by Dandy Man (Ire) and has earned $11,208 in three starts.
Dylan Davis will ride Cavallo Bay from post eight.
Should the race be taken of the turf and moved to the main track, Florida-bred Joey Muscles draws in with 8-1 mornng line odds.
Trained by Jena Antonucci for John Grossi’s Racing Corp., Joey Muscles was third last out in the $95,000 Proud Man won by Florida-bred Naughty Rascal going six furlongs at Gulfstream on Aug. 10.
The son of Journeyman Stud stallion Khozan broke his maiden two starts back against Florida-bred special weight maidens going five furlongs on July 7.
Out of Smokin Red Hot, by Stormy Atlantic, Joey Muscles was bred by John Grossi and has earned $41,130 in the three starts.
Javier Castellano has accepted the riding assignment and they have post 11.
Uncaged, who is also entered under main track conditions, is the 6-5 morning line favorite for trainer Todd Pletcher.
The son of Curlin won a Saratoga maiden special weight by nearly two lengths going six furlongs on a muddy track on Aug. 3 in his only start.
Uncaged is owned by WinStar Farm LLC and Repole Stable and has post 10.
Completing the entries are Nudge with Ricardo Santana Jr. in the saddle, Without Caution and jockey Manny Franco, Test Score with Junior Alvarado named to ride, Dancing Bear will have Romero Maragh in the irons, Edgard Zayas travels from his base at Gulfstream Park to ride Reach for the Rose, Zulu Kingdom (Ire) and jockey Flavien Prat, and Irad Ortiz Jr. takes the call on Tenacious Leader.
