Robert J. Mooney’s Full Disclosure is the 5-2 morning line favorite in Sunday’s featured eighth race at Gulfstream Park, a first condition, $25,000 optional claiming. A dozen 3-year-olds and older will race five furlongs on the turf in pursuit of the winner’s share of the $61,000 purse.
Trainer David Fawkes looks for improvement from the Florida-bred gelding who makes his first start since June 6 when fifth behind Florida-bred Sigiloso in a $50,000 optional claiming, starter allowance going five-and-a-half furlongs on the synthetic course at Gulfstream. Full Disclosure looks to return to his form of last winter at Gulfstream when he won an upper level, $62,500 optional claiming on Nov. 4 and a $50,000 optional claiming starter allowance on Jan. 4, both at five furlongs on synthetic.
Full Disclosure is by Stonehedge Farm South stallion Cajun Breeze out of Theladysaidno, by Concerto and was bred in Florida by Shadybrook Farm Inc. He has won seven with four seconds and three thirds in 26 career races while earning $279,480.
Paco Lopez will ride Full Disclosure from the inside post one.
Trainer Rohan Crichton will saddle two for the Sunday feature including Florida-bred Test Factor and 7-2 morning line second choice High Limit Room.
Test Factor tries for his second career triumph after winning a $50,000 maiden optional claiming going seven-and-a-half furlongs on the turf at Gulfstream in April. In four starts since, the 3-year-old colt has one second, that coming three races back in a first level, $20,000 optional claiming won by Tap Gold going five furlongs on the Gulfstream Grass on July 27.
Test Factor is by The Factor out of Azimuth, by City Zip and was bred in Florida by Francis and Barbara Vanlangendonck. He also has four seconds and a third in 10 career starts with earnings of $89,160.
Test Factor is a two-time graduate of Ocala Breeders’ Sales, having first sold for $17,000 to LMB Farms out of the Vanlangendonck’s Summerfield consignment at the 2022 OBS Winter Mixed Sale. The following year, Crichton purchased him for $50,000 out of the Omar Ramirez Bloodstock consignment.
Crichton continues to own a part of Test Factor with Dennis G. Smith and Daniel L. Walters.
Edwin Gonzalez will ride Test Factor from post six and they are 6-1 on the morning line.
High Limit Room makes his second start for Crichton and owner Lawson Racing Stables, who claimed the 6-year-old gelding for $25,000 out of a winning effort two races back. In one start from the new barn, High Limit Room was fourth, three-and-a-half lengths behind Florida-bred winner Reef Runner in the $95,000 Bob Umphrey Turf Sprint going five furlongs on synthetic in September.
High Limit Room has seven wins, four seconds and four thirds in 23 career starts with earnings of $352,175.
He was a $90,000 acquisition by Carole Star Stables at the 2020 OBS March Sale where he was consigned by Golden Rock Thoroughbreds.
High Limit Room will be ridden by Renzo Rojas from the outside post 12.
Rounding out the field are Highly Flammable with Leonel Reyes taking the riding assignment, Grouch and jockey Miguel Vasquez, Chaplin with Samy Camacho in the irons, Three Zero with Drayden Van Dyke up, Edgard Zayas rides Fregon, Florida-bred Takecareofbusiness will be ridden by Emisael Jaramillo, Joseph Trejos rides Omaha City, Baytown Parfait will be guided by Samuel Marin and Jesus Rios will be in the saddle on Florida-bred If Not for Luck.
