Filly is eligible for $1.2 million FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes

A Florida-bred filly by Ocala Stud’s first crop sire Win Win Win breezed a furlong in :9.80 Thursday to share the fastest time for the distance during the third day of under tack works previewing the Ocala Breeders’ Sales June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age.
Hip 452, a filly by Vino Rosso, also worked an eighth mile in :9.80.
The under tack shows will run each day through Sunday, June 9 starting at 7:30 a.m. EDT. The June Sale will be conducted three days next week, Wednesday – Friday, June 12-14 with the auction starting each day at 10:00 a.m. EDT.
Consigned by Sante Fe Thoroughbreds as agent as Hip 467, Alia’s Faith is out of Biloxi Princess, by Animal Kingdom and is from the family of multiple Grade 1-winning millionaire Honey Ryder and Grade 3-winner and graded stakes-producer Cuando Puede.
Bred in Florida by Emanuel Colon, the filly is eligible for the rich FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes, highlighted by the $1.2 million series of races for 2-year-olds to be run later this year at Gulfstream Park.
The Florida Sire Stakes Marion County and Florida Sire Stakes City of Ocala for older horses are run annually at Tampa Bay Downs and eligible Florida Sire Stakes runners compete for bonus money in other selected stakes and overnight races throughout the year at Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay Downs.
Hip 452, Nogueza, is out of Beach Time, by Bernardini and is from the family of Grade 1-winner Emcee. The chestnut filly is consigned by Golden Noguez as agent.
Brown Sugar, selling as Hip 509, produced the fastest quarter-mile work Thursday, stopping the timer in :20.40. Consigned by Tom McCrocklin as agent, the bay filly is by Twirling Candy out of Cashmere, by Cowboy Cal. She is a half-sister to Grade 1 Preakness-winner Rombauer and stakes-placed Cono.
Six juveniles worked a furlong in :10 flat including Hip 484, Bold Treasure, a Florida-bred filly consigned by Silvestre Chavez Thoroughbreds as agent. She is by Anchor Down out of the Florida-bred Exchange Rate mare Bold Rate, a half-sister to stakes-placed runners Rare Candy and Wings of Pegasus. The filly was bred by JD Farms.
