Resolute Bloodstock went to $500,000 to purchase a Florida-bred colt by Maclean’s Music Tuesday during the Fasig-Tipton July Sale of Selected Yearlings. Selling as Hip 170 from the consignment of Gainesway as agent for Bridlewood Farm, the chestnut colt is out of Jotown, by Speightstown and is a half-brother to Florida-bred Spiralizer, a recent first-out winner of a maiden special weight at Churchill Downs on June 13. The colt was bred by Bridlewood Farm.

Hip 234, a Florida-bred colt by Vekoma, was purchased by CHC Inc., Siena Farm and Maverick Racing for $350,000. Consigned by Lane’s End as agent, the colt is out of Scamper, by Scat Daddy and is a half-brother to stakes-winner Alogon. Scamper is a half-sister to Grade 2-winner Favorable Outcome, multiple Grade 3-winner Mouheeb, Grade 3-placed, stakes-winner Beguine; and Grade 2-placed, stakes-winner Bellamenary. The colt was bred in Florida by H & E Ranch Inc. 

Hip 26, a Florida-bred colt from the first crop by Independence Hall, sold for $140,000 to Winchell Thoroughbreds from the consignment of Taylor Made Sales Agency as agent. The colt is out of Eenie Meenie Miney, by Uncle Mo, a half-sister to multiple Group 2-winner Tableaux, multiple Grade 3-winner Giant Gizmo, Grade 3-winner Eons, stakes-placed Slick Pardon Me and graded stakes-producer Kuhlu.

A Florida-bred filly from the first crop by Tacitus sold for $120,000 to Tom McCrocklin. Cataloged as Hip 136 and consigned by Paramount Sales as agent, the chestnut filly is out of the Grade 2-placed, Florida-bred mare Crescenda, by Bowman’s Band. The filly was bred in Florida by JDT Racing.

Ocala Stud’s popular Win Win Win, whose first crop are 2-year-olds this year, was represented by Hip 162, a Florida-bred colt who sold for $115,000 to U.S. Racing Stable. Consigned by Airdrie Stud Raised and Offered, the dark bay or brown colt is out of Healthful, by Summer Front, a daughter of Canadian Horse of the Year Biofuel. The colt was bred in Florida by the Estate of Brereton C. Jones. 

Another Florida-bred bringing $115,000 was Hip 141, a dark bay or brown colt by Tiz the Law out of Deep Trouble, by Into Mischief. The colt was consigned by Bill Murphy as agent and Dylan Venosa as agent was the buyer. The colt was bred in Florida by Nancy Stone.
