A Florida-bred colt from the first crop by 2023 Horse of the Year and two-time Grade 1 Big Ass Fans Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile-winner Cody’s Wish dropped the gavel at $300,000 Wednesday during Session 3 of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Cataloged as Hip 554 and consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency as agent, the chestnut colt was purchased by Oracle Bloodstock as an agent and is the second foal out of multiple Grade 3-winner Cheermeister, by Bodemeister.

Bred in Florida by Teresa and David Palmer of Jupiter, the colt’s 2-year-old half-brother by Essential Quality, Cheers To You, has not started but is in training in South Florida. The colt has a weanling half-brother by American Pharoah, also bred in Florida by the Palmers. Cheermeister and is a half-sister to stakes-producer Patroncita and was bred back to Cody’s Wish in 2026.
