Mag Racing Stables’ G W’s Girl, the Florida-bred champion 3-year-old filly of 2025, makes her first start of 2026 at Delaware Park Saturday in the $100,000 Rehoboth Stakes for fillies and mares at six furlongs. In addition to running for the purse money, G W’s Girl could earn a $4,000 Export Incentive for winning the out-of-state stakes paid by the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association to breeder Larry Alan Wynn of Newberry, Florida.
G W’s Girl finished in the top three in four of six starts last year, including two six-furlong stakes victories at Oaklawn Park for trainer Greg Compton. She won the $150,000 Mockingbird, defeating 2025 Eclipse Award-winning champion female sprinter Shisospicy by a length on January 4; and next out took the $150,000 Dixie Belle by nearly three lengths on February 24.
In her last start in September at Laurel Park, G W’s Girl was second to Maida in the $99,000 Weather Vane at six furlongs. She was also third in the $103,000 Tyson Gilpin at Colonial Downs in September.
G W’s Girl has won three of eight career starts with a second and third and earnings of $250,975. She was a $130,000 purchase by Greg Compton as an agent for Mag Racing Stables out of the Triple J Equine Sales consignment at the 2024 Ocala Breeders’ Sales March Sale. She is by Munnings out of the Exchange Rate mare Essence of Audre.
Julio Hernandez, who rode G W’s Girl in her first race when breaking her maiden at Delaware Park in September of 2024, jumps back aboard for the first time since and they have post three.
Trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. brings in Haulin Ice, a winner of two stakes—both going six furlongs at Oaklawn Park—in three starts this year.
The 5-year-old daughter of Coal Front began the year with a scintillating 11 ¾-length victory in the $150,000 Downthedustyroad Breeders’ Stakes on February 20 then took the $250,000 Matron by nearly two lengths on March 27. Last out she was sixth in the Grade 2 Unbridled Sidney presented by TwinSpires at Churchill Downs on May 1.
Haulin Ice is owned by C2 Racing Stable, WSS Racing and Agave Racing Stable and is the richest among the Rehoboth entrants with earnings of $1,231,750 from 12 wins and five seconds in 22 starts.
She has post five and jockey Sahin Civaci.
Also set to line up in the Rehoboth are Love You More with Angel Cruz in the saddle, Sonny Leon rides Factorbella, My Magic Wand has Chris Elliot taking the call, Mychel Sanchez is named on Carmelina and Mega Mil will have jockey Frankie Pennington. Beyond Belief and Onyx Ten have no riders named at press time.
