Dean Dorton invites you to participate in its 2026 Equine Compensation Survey, focused on compensation and benefits practices across Thoroughbred farms in the United States and Canada.

As a financial leader or operator, you are regularly making decisions around compensation, staffing and benefits—often without clear, market-based benchmarks specific to the equine industry. This survey is designed to close that gap.

The results will provide you with a practical, data-driven benchmark to:

  • Evaluate whether your compensation structure is competitive
  • Support hiring and retention decisions in a tight labor market
  • Inform budgeting and cost management for the upcoming year
  • Back up compensation decisions with objective market data

The value of this resource is directly tied to the quality and breadth of participation. Without broad input from farms like yours, the data becomes less actionable. Your participation ensures the results reflect real-world market conditions, not estimates or assumptions.

Please complete one survey per farm by August 30, 2026. All responses are fully anonymous and confidential, and results will be shared after the survey closes. You may also save your progress and return at any time to complete or update your responses.

We appreciate your time and insight—and encourage you to participate so you can benefit from a stronger, more reliable industry benchmark.
