Scott Kintz of Six K’s Training and Sales reported to Wire to Wire that Congrats passed away peacefully Monday at David Persaud’s Persaud Legacy Farms, formerly Woodford Thoroughbreds, in Reddick, Fla.

“I kind of feel like he brought me to Florida,” Kintz said. “When Mr. Sykes sold Woodford here a couple of years ago, I asked him to just leave him here and I’ll take care of him for the rest of his life.”

Kintz worked for Mr. Sykes at Woodford Thoroughbreds before he started his Six K’s Training and Sales in 2019. Six K’s Training and Sales is currently based Persaud Legacy Farms.

“When Persaud bought the farm from Mr. Sykes, the horse kind of came with the farm. And [Persaud] didn’t bother him at all. He just let him stay in his paddock where he was.”
