Two fillies, one by Cloud Computing the other by Caravaggio, produced the fastest quarter mile works Wednesday at Ocala Training Center during the second day of under tack works previewing next week’s Ocala Breeders’ Sales June Sale of 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age.

Hips 173 – 343 worked Wednesday morning while Hip 344 – 386, plus supplements 387 – 430 and 451 – 534 are set to breeze Thursday. Friday will see Hips 535-705 work and Hp 706 – 833 will go Saturday. Each day’s under tack show begins at 7:30 a.m. EST and is free and open to the public.

The OBS June Sale will be conducted Tuesday and Wednesday next week starting at 10 a.m. each day.

Cataloged as Hip 229 and consigned by Omar Ramirez Bloodstock as agent, the Cloud Computing filly is out of the stakes-winning mare Clever Beauty, by Indian Charlie. The dark bay or brown filly is from the family of Grade 1-winner Ruthereinne.

 

“She’s out of an Indian Charlie mare and she has all the class,” Ramirez said. “She’s beautiful, well balanced. We decided to point her to June and get her ready to go a quarter and she did not disappoint me. We always knew she was nice. She’s just been a sound, happy filly.”

Hip 252 is the Cloud Computing filly from the consignment of Jesus Avila’s Blue Sapphire Stables as agent. The gray or roan filly is out of the winning Curlin mare Curl the Pearl, a half-sister to Grade 3-winner Chitu and Grade 3-winner Beautiful Gift. 

 

Hip 180 was among four juveniles who worked an eighth mile in :9.80 Wednesday along with Hips 279, 327 and 340.

Hip 180 is a dark bay or brown filly by first crop sire Honest Mischief out of the winning Any Given Saturday mare Blue Hen Madness. The filly is consigned by Crystal Eclipse Stable and is from the family of Grade 2-placed, stakes-winner Lucky Livi.

 

Hip 279 is by Frosted out of Grade 3-winner Dixie Serenade, by Uptowncharlybrown. Consigned by Harris Training Center LLC, the filly is a half-sister to stakes-winner Dixieland Belle.

 

McKathan Bros. Sales as agent consigns Hip 327, a bay filly by Midshipman out of stakes-placed Freedom Come, by Lit de Justice. The gray or roan filly is a half-sister to Grade 1 and Grade 3-placed Harlem Rocket and stakes-producer Fortune Candy.

 

Hernandez Stables Inc. as agent consign Hip 340, by first crop sire Higher Power. The bay filly is out of the winning Lemon Drop Kid mare Gold Anklet and is a half-sister to stakes-placed Little Daddy and graded stakes-producer Mo Joy.
