Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 286 selected yearlings for The July Sale, to be held on Tuesday, July 9, at Newtown Paddocks in Lexington, Ky. The sale will begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
“We look forward to kicking off yearling sales season with another strong group of well conformed, mature yearlings in July,” Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning said. “The sale continues to produce remarkable performance numbers that cannot be overlooked by any serious buyer.”
According to statistics from The Bloodhorse MarketWatch, The July Sale is once again a top ranked major North American yearling sale in a number of performance categories. It is ranked first by percentage of stakes winners, stakes horses, and 2-year-old winners sold. It is ranked second by percentage of Grade 1 winners and graded stakes winners sold, behind only Fasig-Tipton’s Saratoga Sale.
As in previous years, this year’s catalogue includes the Freshman Sire Showcase (Hips 1-88), highlighting the offspring of first-crop yearling sires
The catalogue also features yearlings by top general sires Into Mischief, Quality Road, Goldencents, Practical Joke, Justify, Constitution, Uncle Mo, Munnings, and American Pharoah plus Florida sires Win Win Win and Leinster.
Nominations are also now open for the July Selected Horses of Racing Age sale, to be held the day before the yearling sale, on Monday, July 8. Fasig-Tipton will accept nominations up until sale time; however, to be included in the catalogue’s initial release, entries should be finalized by June 14.
