A filly by first crop sire Caracaro worked a quarter mile in :20.40 to clock the fastest time at the distance Monday during the second under tack show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Spring Sale.

The Monday under tack session was the second of seven breeze shows which run through Saturday and start each day at 8:00 a.m. EDT. The four-day OBS Spring Sale will be conducted four days next week, Tuesday through Friday, with each session beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Hips 174-345 worked Monday and Hips 346-518 go to the track Tuesday.

Consigned by Global Thoroughbreds LLC as agent and cataloged as Hip 199, the Caracaro filly is out of Key d’Oro, by Medaglia d’Oro and is a half-sister to stakes-placed Twirl.

Two juveniles had the fastest eighth-mile works Monday with :9.60 times.

Hip 308 is a filly by Omaha Beach out of the Frosted mare Marla, who worked from the consignment of Omar Ramirez Bloodstock as agent.

She is a half-sister to multiple graded stakes-winner and near millionaire Envoutante and stakes-placed Simply Enchanting and is from the family of 1987 champion 2-year-old colt Forty Niner.

Hip 335 is a filly by Mitole out of Mischief Galore, by Into Mischief and is consigned by Hartely / DeRenzo Thoroughbreds LLC. She is from the family of multiple graded stakes-winner Maren’s Meadow.

Eighteen 2-year-olds worked a furlong in :9.80 including Hip 186, a Florida-bred filly consigned by Top Line Sales LLC as agent. She is by Mo Town out of Just a Catch, by Justin Phillip, a half-sister to Catch the Moon, the dam of Grade 1 Haskell Invitational-winner and popular young sire Girvin, multiple graded stakes-winner Midnight Bourbon and Grade 3-winners Cocked and Loaded and Pirate’s Punch.

Just a Catch is also a full-sister to stakes-winner What a Catch and a half-sister to graded stakes-placed, stakes-winner Dubini, stakes-placed Cancel This and graded-stakes producer Clarendon Fancy.
