Tami Bobo’s Bellablaze, a half-sister to 2025 Eclipse Award Champion and Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint-winner Shisospicy, will jump into stakes company for her second start Saturday at Laurel Park as the Florida-bred daughter of Yaupon goes in the $100,000 Smart Halo for eight 2-year-old fillies racing six furlongs.

The Brittany Russell trainee switches to dirt after winning her debut on grass in a five-and-a-half-furlong maiden special weight for fillies at Colonial Downs on September 3. Bellablaze pressed the pace from second then took over in the lane to win by three-quarters of a length, earning $42,000.
