The Ocala Art Group will debut their Fall art show, Reflections of Farm life in Marion County, Florida, at 10 a.m. ET on October 2 at the Legend Brunch and Fashion Show at The Club at Iron Lake in Ocala, as part of Florida Thoroughbred industries annual golf tournament events. 

The art show is open to ticketed guests and sponsors for the day’s events. To purchase a brunch ticket in advance of the event, contact 352-629-2160. The speaker is Barbara Jo Rubin, a former jockey and the first woman to win a U.S. pari-mutuel race. The day also includes a book signing, golf tournament, and awards dinner. 

The Ocala Art Group is a not-for-profit educational corporation, with a membership open to all who share an interest in developing and promoting fine art. The Ocala Art Group offers monthly programs, demonstrations, tours, workshops, and member exhibits. OAG was established in 1950, making the organization the oldest of its kind in Central Florida.

The show travels to the On Top of the World communities Master the Possibilities lobby October 4 – 17 and to the Agriculture Extension offices for the Marion County Agriculture Hall of Fame Induction dinner in November. The show theme aligns with Marion County’s Farm City Week events recognizing agriculture contributions and land conservation/preservation.

The Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ & Owners’ Association Museum hosts November 26 through December 13. The show concludes on the National Day of the Horse on December 13. Check each location before your visit to confirm hours. Additional dates may be added.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the fine art show benefits the Florida Thoroughbred industry.
