Pedro Lanz acting as an agent for King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and sons’ KAS Stables based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia purchased Hip 1193, a Florida-bred colt by Flightline for $320,000 Saturday during Session 5 of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Consigned by Francis and Barbara Vanlangendonck’s Summerfield and bred in Florida by George and Karen Russell’s Rustlewood Farm in Reddick, the bay colt is the first foal out of the multiple stakes-winning Star Guitar mare Star Moment, a half-sister to Fools Gold, winner of the Grade 3 Fasig-Tipton Waya at Saratoga Race Course in 2019. Summerfield as an agent for Rustlewood Farm purchased Star Moment in foal to Flightline for $250,000 at last year’s Keeneland November Sale.

Hip 1466, a Florida-bred colt by Justify out of the Curlin mare Leslie’s Harmony sold for $235,000 to Dennis O’Neill. Bred by John and Leslie Malone’s Bridlewood Farm located in Ocala, Floirda and consigned by Gainesway as agent, the colt is a half-brother to Florida-bred Scotland Yard, a champion miler in Saudi Arabia and earner of $1.2 million.

Leslie’s Harmony is a half-sister to seven-time champion sire Into Mischief, four-time champion Beholder, a earner of $6.1 million; and multiple Grade 1 winner of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) Mendelssohn. Purchased by Bridlewood for $1.1 million out of the 2014 Keeneland September Sale, Leslie’s Harmony has produced four winners from six starters and 10 foals. Her 2-year-old Florida-bred filly, Timeless Grace, by Not This Time, sold for $475,000 to R Unicorn Stable at last year’s Keenalend September Sale.

Timeless Grace has not started but had her third published work Saturday morning at Saratoga Race Course, breezing three furlongs in :37.75, the fastest of four at the distance.

Hip 1182 is a Florida-bred colt by Girvin that went for $200,000, also to Dennis O’Neill, out of the Gainesway as agent consignment. Bred in Florida by Bridlewood Farm, the dark bay or brown colt is out of the Tapit mare Southern Girl, a full sister to Grade 2-winner Marconi and a half-sister to Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) and Awesome Again (G1) winning Florida-bred Mucho Macho Man, an earner of $5.6 million; and stakes-placed Mucho Mans Gold.

Southern Girl has produced four winners from five starters and nine foals including Florida-bred Macho Music, winner of the Grade 3 Pat Day Mile in 2025; and stakes-placed Florida-bred Tremont Tammy. Her 2-year-old colt by Epicenter, Florida-bred Waterfront, also sold for $200,000 at the Keeneland September Sale last year.

Southern Girl was purchased by Bridlewood for $820,000 at the 2016 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall Mixed Sale.

A Florida-bred colt by McKinzie and a half-brother to Grade 3-placed and multiple stakes-winning Florida-bred Tessellate brought $170,000 on a final bid by Lucan Bloodstock. Consigned by Paramount Sales and bred in Florida by Tim and Crystal O’Donohue’s Castle Gate Farm located in Ocala, Hip 1166 is out of the winning Trappe Shot mare Shotdowninflames.

Shotdowninflames has produced three winners from four starters and six foals and is a half-sister to Luna Time, winner of the Grade 3 Obeah in 2015. Her Florida-bred 2-year-old colt by Ocala Stud’s Roadster, Whole Lotta Rosie, has two seconds and two thirds in four starts.

Shotdowninflames was purchased by Castlegate for $50,000 out of the 2016 Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
