A Florida-bred colt from the first crop by champion male sprinter Jackie’s Warrior summoned a final bid of $300,000 Wednesday at Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company during the second day of their three-day June Sale of 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age.
Greg Compton as agent for MAG Racing Stables signed the ticket on the bay colt consigned by Tom McCrocklin as agent. MAG Racing is the nom de course of Greg Massenelli of El Dorado, Arkansas and Margaret Molleston of Houston who enjoyed their first stakes winner last year with Florida-bred champion G W’s Girl in $150,000 Mockingbird Stakes at Oaklawn Park.
Bred in Florida by Angela M. Ingenito of Lowell, the bay colt is out of multiple Grade 3-placed Heavenly Hill, a half-sister to stakes-placed, stakes-producer Twirl Around and stakes-producer Heartbroken Hill.
McCrocklin purchased the colt for $150,000 out of the Taylor Made Sales Agency consignment at last year’s Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
