Florida-bred My Miss Mo, who drew post six for Friday’s Grade 1 Longines Kentucky Oaks, jogged one lap over the Churchill Downs surface for the first time Sunday morning after arriving from Gulfstream Park on Saturday.
Trained by Saffie Joseph Jr. for Rich Averill’s Averill Racing of Bradenton, Florida; Bill and Terry Mathis and their Mathis Stable based in Oklahoma City; and Tristan de Meric of Ocala, Florida; My Miss Mo was second to Oaks-rival Prom Queen last out in the Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Oaks presented by City National Bank on March 28.
My Miss Mo is by Uncle Mo out of In a Dream, by Quality Road and was bred in Florida by Valerie Mastromanaco, Tristan de Meric and Uncle Mo Syndicate.
She will be ridden for the first time by Micah Husbands and they are listed at 20-1 on the morning line for the $1.5 million Oaks to be run at a mile-and-one-eighth.
